The current racial tensions in the new SA

Nota: ek skryf hierdie bydrae in Engels, ter wille van oorsese gelowiges om die situasie in SA beter te kan verstaan.

See the press release below by  SAIRR, for a good summary of the political problems SA face,  in current times:

“Statement by the South African Institute of Race Relations on the ramifications of the killing of Eugène Terre’Blanche – 6th April 2010”

The following Proverbs comes to mind when I think about my “cry, the beloved country”:

“They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.” (28:4)

“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.” (28:9)

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (29:2)

Those church leaders that spoke about ‘peace peace’ for the new SA, while ignoring Ps.127:1; Is.48:22 and John 15:5 (and the above verses applied to SA’s future) have shown themselves to be false prophets (Jer.6:14). There is no ‘peace’ left, only ‘pieces’ of a divided country, who try to build on the shifting sands of the ‘false goodness of humanity’, human(istic) rights and a anti-Christian paganistic new age religion idea, worshipping the creature, not the Creator of all men and nations.

Our only hope of salvation, Jesus Christ, and His law as a righteous foundation for a godly prosperous society, are rejected by the ANC political leaders, and many liberal wordly white people.

I believe there is no hope in either black neo-marxist communism or white neo-nazism.

Only the protestant reformed faith and biblical worldview (calvinism) can give any real hope for the troubling times ahead, as it has done for our calvinistic forefathers through many battles and struggles.

May our Lord have mercy on us, all His children, from all nations living in the troubled new SA.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” – 2 Cron.7:14

About SAIRR:

“The South African Institute of Race Relations is the leading independent research and policy organization in South Africa. Established in 1929 the Institute has a proud record of conducting and publishing cutting edge research and policy critiques. The Institute publishes widely on education, the economy, business, employment, crime, demographics, health, welfare, and politics. The bulk of the material published is based on hard factual data and not on the personal opinions of the authors. In doing so the Institute considers a uniquely wide spectrum of the factors that contribute to the current state of South Africa. The factual foundation of our work allows the Institute to deliver informed comment about government policy proposals and legislation. Failed policy can be flagged and amendments proposed while successful policy can be supported against ill informed criticism. The Institute today therefore plays a dual role – both tangible and intangible. We provide the best data and analysis on almost every area of South Africa’s development. We in turn use that expertise as a foundation upon which to campaign for South Africa’s success. ‘

  1. Yes, may the builders learn to listen:
“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it”

  2. Well put. With a few changes indicating locale it could sound like America.
