4. Oorsprong en weerlegging van de Wederdopers, Guido de Bres
“Oorsprong en weerlegging van de wederdopers’ biedt een beschrijving van de geschiedenis van de wederdopers en een weerlegging van hun opvattingen. De verbreiding van het anabaptisme heeft Guido de Brès zeer verontrust. Zij waren in zijn ogen een gevaar voor de opkomende gereformeerde gemeenten vanwege hun radicale optreden, en niet minder vanwege hun on-Bijbelse opvattingen. Hij voelde zich daarom gedrongen om met alle kracht tegen de wederdopers te strijden.
Dit uitvoerige werk verscheen in 1565 onder de titel ‘La racine, source et fondement des anabaptistes ou rabaptisez de nostre temps’. Het is nu opnieuw uit het Frans vertaald met als titel ‘Oorsprong en weerlegging van de wederdopers’, en bestaat uit drie boeken.“

5. Covenant and Election in the Reformed Tradition
